Miller's house with integral mill. C18 on ancient site, extended circa early C19.
Granite rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roofs with gable ends.
Plan: Rectangular plan. 2 room plan miller's house with integral mill. Living room
of miller's house on the left, mill on the right. Overshot wheel at right-hand end
in working order. Extended in the C19 with one-room-plan cottage on the left.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall-3 window front of miller's house and mill on the
right. House doorway is in the middle, mill doorway is approached by short flight of
stone steps on the right. Gabled dormer over mill doorway was originally a loading
doorway with hoist. C20 doors and windows. Iron wheel at the right-hand end with
wooden spokes and buckets.
Interior of mill has its original 019 ground floor machinery in working order, now
used for generating electricity. House has large granite fireplace at left-hand end.
Old, possibly C18 roof structure.
