TL 0247 KEMPSTON URBAN CHURCH WALK

House, probably formerly a pair. C18. Colour washed rough cast over timber
frame, W elevation ground floor rebuilt in brick, also colourwashed. Clay
tile roof. 4-room plan overall, 2 storeys. E elevation : variety of 2-light
casements, 4 to each floor. Part glazed door between 2 LH bays, with hipped
C2U porch. Red brick double ridge stack to centre, originally at divide
between the 2 cottages. Lean-to addition to S gabled end. Large C20 wing
projects westwards from N end of W elevation.
