EState cottage. Circa 1850-55 for the Earl of Ducie's estate. Rendered with
roughly hewn quoins; plain tiled roof, coped raised verges with ball finials;
brick diagonal clustered stacks. In a picturesque Tudor Gothic style.
2 storeys. 3 bays: the centre bay projects as a 2 storey gabled porch; 2- and
3-light cross windows with chamfered mullions and surrounds. Moulded doorcase
with 4-centred head. The cottage forms an important group with the church,
green and estate yard (q.v.).
