Lifeboat house,1875, for R.N.L.I. Dressed sandstone with chamfered plinth.
Renewed clay pantile roof with stone ridge copings. Single storey. Doorway
in south-east gable-end, flanked by battered angle buttresses. Early/mid
C20 boarded double doors, below narrow fixed-light window under relieving
arch. Barge boards pierced with trefoils, braced and supporting mast.
South-west face has 2 trefoil-headed fixed-light windows with battered
sills; mid C20 casement window at left end and flagpole at right end.
Strutted kingpost roof trusses. Late C20 lean-to extension on north-east
side is not of interest. Included for historical interest.
