Former vicarage, now forms 2 back-to-back houses. Late C17 house with new
entrance front created to west c1810. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roofs.
2 and 3 storeys. West front, 2 storeys, has 3-bay cottage attached to left of
house which breaks forward and has 3-bay symmetrical facade.
Cottage: central doorway with overlight has sash window above and to either side
on both floors, all with lintels and projecting sills. Gutter brackets. Hipped
roof with end stack.
House: quoins. Tripartite-sash windows with wooden surround either side of large
square porch all with Tuscan pilasters, frieze and cornice. 3 sash windows to
1st floor as cottage. Hipped roof with end stacks, that to right with cyma-moulded
cornice. Rear (garden front). 2-storey C19 bay to left of 3-storey C17 range with
2 front-facing gables. Quoins. Left bay: large French window approached up flight
of 11 steps has flanking lights and overlights. Above is 2-light window with
recessed flat-faced mullion retaining 12-pane sashes. Hipped roof. End stack
to left. C17 house has large inserted French window to left and inserted doorway
to right. Two 10-pane sashes in plain stone surrounds to each upper floor. Coped
gables with kneelers and continuous coping. Gable stacks.
