Church Lane (North Side)
Nos 1 and 2

Formerly one house, now two flats. It is built of millstone grit and stone slated, two stories, C17, very substantial. Three stone stacks. Stone coped gable ends with kneelers. Rendered plinth, Three modern three-light casement windows on the first floor. One window on ground floor of C18 date with architrave and keystone and two others, all modern casements. No 2 has a plain stone lintel to a modern door, that of No 1 has an archtrave with a rectangular fanlight and door of six fielded panels, traces of a former hood. A projecting wing on the North side has an original doorway and a window of four lights complete with three mullions and hood mould. Also on North Side is this inscripton:- HANC AEDEM COND MDCLXXIII ET IAM PENE DELAPSURAM RESTITUIT RESTAURAVIT JACOBUS BAILEY VIC OT MDCCXIII

Nos 1 and 2 form a group with memorial to victims of Bramhope Tunnel Disaster and Parish Church of Alll Saints, Kirkgate.
