The gables have raised coped verges set to bold modelled stone and brick kneelers, and there are 5 brick ridge stacks with brick cappings. The right-hand gable end has 2 windows and a plank door with a 3-pane transom light. The N side is similarly detailed, with 8 original doors under 3-pane transom lights, on 2 stone steps, and each with a cast-iron foot-scraper and flanked by small single lights. The cast-iron ogee gutters have down-pipes with an Admiralty anchor cast on. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to Barrack Road is a full-width low brick wall to stone coping at approx 0.65m; at either end are pairs of square stone gate-piers with low pyramidal cappings. Has group value with the Master's house, Nothe House (qv), immediately adjoining.
