Mid C19. Hammer dressed stone. Ashlar dressings. Hipped slate roof. 2 storeys.
Moulded eaves cornice. Rusticated quoins. Two 2-storey canted bays with Tuscan
piers and entablatures on each storey, flanking former front door with eclectic
pilasters and entablature framing door and side lights. Above this paired
round-arched sashes with moulded imposts voussoirs keystone and cornice. South
side has more eclectic Italianite detailing and a 3-storey tower with balustraded
parapet and balconies on long scrolled consoles at 2nd floor level. Tripartite
round-arched staircase window with stained glass sashes (scenes of wild life,
and sporting scenes) projecting in re-entrant angle. One storey quadrant bay
in re-entrant angle of this and main block: parapet of fu-de-siecle appearance
and 3 round-arched windows with stairned glass. Much elaborate joinery and
plasterwork inside, especially staircase with its brass art nouveau torchiere
on lowest newel.
