Dated 1863. By R Ives. Large Gothic group in 3 blocks round garden court.
2 storeys. Stone with slated roofs. Central, battlemented tower with stair
turret and high roof to west block. Other turrets, gables, chimney-stacks
and cresting to roof ridges. 1, 2 & 3-light windows with flat and cusped heads,
some with tracery, Oriels, bay windows etc. Chapel at upper level to west
of south block, with high roof. Bridges with steps to upper level of north
and south blocks. Varied terracing with steps, piers etc to garden side of
each block.
