Milestone. Mid C19. Arch-headed stone slab overlaid with cast iron. Letters
in relief. Top reads: 'LEEDS & WHITEHALL ROAD HIPPERHOLME', Left projecting
face reads: 'HALIFAX 4 MILES'. Right face: 'LEEDS 11¾ MILES' stands on former
turnpike road of the Leeds and Whitehall Trust.
