Long range of domestic Gothic school with 2-storey school master's house at south
end. Sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings. Asymmetrical composition with gabled
bays and backs and hipped gable dormers. Two and three light mullion and transom
windows. Square tower of 3 storeys with pyramidal slate spire to north end adjacent
to cross wing hall; the latter with plate traceried windows east and west. Steep
pitched slate roof with weathered capping to chimneys. Weathered sill course to
school range raised as string course between storeys to master's house.
