A substantial house dated 1752 but probably refronted late C18. Two-storeys,
sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings. Plinth plat band, rusticated quoins,
moulded eaves cornice. Stone slate roof with flanking corniced chimneys and
coped gable is with shaped kneelers. Five bay symmetrical elevation
shallow architrave surrounds to windows (C19 sashes) and door. Rear has
4 light square mullion window, 2 lights retaining small panes. Rainwater
head inserted R over I E 1752. The house stands in a large walled garden.
