House, now offices, and attached railings. Late C18 with later attic storey.
Stucco with painted stone dressings and slate roof. 3 bays and two storeys
plus attic storey and basement. Basement with stone steps and sash windows
to side bays. Railings to front with spear head finials to plain bars and
central frieze of lozenges. Steps to central Venetian style doorcase with
6 raised and fielded panelled door below stiled semi-circular fanlight with
glazing bars, flanked by engaged Tuscan columns and pilasters which support
short sections of entablature; moulded architrave to central arch and blind
panels between columns and pilasters. Venetian windows with unequally hung
sashes with glazing bars, and pilasters carrying entablatures to either side.
All ground floor openings in blind semi-circular headed recesses. Three tall
12 pane first floor sashes with continuous sill band. Entablature over with
wide cornice. Attic storey with three 6 pane segment headed sashes, each
set in wide segment headed recess with large double keystones and rusticated
stonework to either side of the sashes. Eaves band. Hipped roof with rendered
end stacks. Interior has dentilled cornice and cornical doorcase to ground
floor, otherwise much altered. A pair to No 1 South Parade, adjacent to left.
