Gatehouse to Bedale Hall. Early C18. Brick and rubblestone with graduated
stone slate roof. Square in plan. 2 storeys, 1 bay. Ground floor:
bricked-up round brick arch with moulded impost band. 1st floor: band;
blind window opening with moulded stone cill and flat brick arch. Heavy
wooden eaves cornice. Pyramidal roof has central stone stack with plinth
and table. Rear and returns as front with rubblestone to ground floor, rear
has sash with glazing bars on 1st floor.
