Pair of cottages. Early C18, with alteration and extension c1800 and of
C20. Coursed limestone rubble, part rendered, with brick eaves course;
brick porch to no 51 to right, and part-glazed porch to no 52; pantile roof
with brick stacks, 2 rebuilt. 1 1/2-storey, 4-window front with single-storey,
lean-to outbuilding to left. Centre plank doors to both cottages. 2-light,
top-opening, small-pane windows to ground floor with painted wedge lintels
to no 51, timber to no 52. 2-light horizontal sliding sashes with painted
stone sills to first floor, with 12 panes to no 51 and without glazing bars
to no 52. End and centre stacks. Interior: exposed square section beams
throughout ground floor of no 52.
