House, early C18 with alterations. Very lightly tooled sandstone; alterations
in stone with different toolings. Pantiled roof with stone kneelers and
copings, brick stack. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Plinth. Left replaced 6-panel door
under bracketed flat hood; bootscraper recess to right of door. Right paired
12-pane sashes in wood box frames. 2 similar sashes at first floor centre.
Remains of earlier horizontal windows visible. Sundial in nowy-headed panel at
first floor level. Coved eaves with very large kneelers at ends. Ridge chimney
at right, possibly shared with Lantern Cottage.
