GV II

House. 3 late C16 houses with later alterations, converted to
one house in 1976. Roughcast and colourwashed timber frame on
brick plinth; roof of black-glazed pantiles. Lobby-entrance
plan.
2 storeys. 3-window range. 3 doorways, that to left
4-panelled, to right of centre half-glazed, to right of plank
construction, all C19 and all with timber doorcases. Between
centre doors one early C19 bowed shop display window with
multiple glazing bars and reeded bottom rail. One 3-light
early C19 metal casement to left of elevation. Three 3-light
C20 casements to first floor. Gabled roof. Rendered ridge
stack left of centre. 3 outshuts to rear of various C19 and
C20 dates.
INTERIOR: chamfered bridging beams with tongue stops. C16
brick to stack but fireplaces rebuilt C20. Late C20 winder
staircase inserted in entrance lobby.
