II
Corn watermill. Late C18 - early C19. Rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys
plus basement and loft. Gable front: 2 bays. Quoins. Elevation to Green,
ground floor: C20 board garage doors, board door. First floor: 2 fixed-
light small-pane windows flanking glazed door, formerly loading door, under
slab lintel; above lintel, fanlight with radial glazing bars below
semicircular arch of rubble voussoirs with hoodmould. Above, wooden beam
with pulley-wheel. In gable, fixed-light window with glazing bars with
semicircular-arched head of rubble voussoirs with hoodmould. In side and
rear elevations, projecting through-stones. Interior: deep timber beams.
Working low-breastshot waterwheel; overdriven spur-wheel gearing; 2 pairs of
millstones and wooden furniture; drying-kiln.
