GV II
Cottage. Dated 1719 with C20 alterations. Strap pointed rubble, stone dressings,
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, double fronted. Garden fron: entrance left of
centre has rusticated jambs with bolection moulding of segmental profile to
alternate blocks, similar to Rose Cottage, Clapham (q.v). Decorated lintel
with imitation pediment and decoration imitaing C17 style; date and initials
WK and MK; C20 door; hoodmould. 2 windows per storey: those on ground floor
altered c1970, sashes. upper floor windows have moulded surround and casements.
Massive C20 buttress siether side of entrance. Gable end ridge stacks.
