TL 50 NE ABBESS, BERNERS AND DUNMOW ROAD (W SIDE) BEAUCHAMP RODING 5/4 Slades Farmhouse II

House. C13 and C16 timber framed and plastered, 2 storey house. 'H' plan form with crosswings at N and S ends with clay peg tile half hipped roofs with gablets. Rendered stack on S end wall, small pane, modern casements and flat roofed dormer in 'hall' section which has lean-to peg tile roofed front extension. Remains of a C13 aisled hall with C16 crosswing to south. Crosswing frame is fairly complete and trait-de-jupiter scarf joint and storey posts remain of earlier aisled hall.
