GV II

Gates and gate-piers. C19. Wrought iron and ashlar. Pair of carriage
drive gates with scalloped upper line. Flattened lance heads to bars.
Intermediate bars with flattened lance heads terminate above mid-rail,
diagonal bracings to lower sections. 2 piers of sandstone ashlar with
vermiculated rustication, topped by entablature, with vermiculated ovals on
frieze, surmounted by pedestals carrying ball finials with vermiculated box.
