Detached cottage. C16 and C17. Rendered brick on stone plinth,
formerly timber-framed, retained on north wall, half-hipped
thatched roof, brick stack. Gable end to road, 2-cell cottage with
one bay additions to either end. Single storey and attic, 2
windows. Planked door to right, two 2-light casements to left,
attic has two eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements. Right return
has 2-light and 1-light casements. Rear has C20 casements.
Attached to left is weatherboarded outhouse under thatched roof,
within this is surviving timber-framing to left return. Interior
has chamfered beam with step and runout stops to inserted C17 first
floor, open fireplace with chamfered lintel with same stops, on
stone jambs, planked doors. First floor has plank and muntin
partition. Originally a 2-cell cottage open to roof, timber-framed
walls replaced with brick C19, and floor inserted and stack built
mid C17.
