4/236 No 5 (Astley House), No 6 and
The Cottage

GV II

Three cottages in row. Circa 1840. Limestone ashlar, Welsh
slate to Nos 5 and 6, concrete tiles to roof of The Cottage, brick
stacks. Two-storey, 4-window. No 5 has recessed porch with C20
door, shared with No 4 (q.v.), No 6 has door with 4 fielded panels,
The Cottage has C20 planked door, cast-iron boot-scrapers beside
doors, three 12-pane sashes to ground floor. Four 12-pane sashes
to first floor. Rear gabled wings with hipped roofs and sashes.
Interiors not accessible at time of survey (January 1986).
