Pair of cottages at end of row. Late C17. Dressed limestone,
tiled roof, gable end stone and brick stacks, and coped verges.
Single storey and attic, 2 windows. Planked door with board hood
and up stone steps to each cottage, 3-light casement either side.
Two hipped dormers to roof with 2-light casements. Right return of
Byewey has blocked doorway and 2-light casement to attic. C19 rear
lean-to extension, roof has two hipped dormers with 2-light
casements.
Interior of Byewey has deeply chamfered beams with stepped stops,
planked doors and blocked open fireplaces. Interior of Oak Tree
Cottage not accessible at time of survey (December 1985).
