GV II
House in row. Early C19. Coursed and squared rubble, concrete
tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows; 3-light mullion casements to
wood lintels, central 4-panel part-glazed C19 door in C20
gabled porch. Brick stack at left gable. The top 3 courses of
stonework are more regular than the remainder, suggesting that
the roof eaves may have been raised; thatch does not remain
under the tiles in this building.
INTERIOR: low ceilings, a narrow cross-passage with original
panelled partition to the left; the rear door is the original
plank and batten. A full width addition runs across the back.
The room to left has ceiling rafters exposed. A narrow winder
staircase runs transversely to the right, with a section of
handrail to the top landing with a twisted newel and diagonal
balusters. The first floor left has a wide plank door, and
roughly wrought purlins.
