Birkettfield

G.V. II

Barn. Late C18. Mixed slate and cobble rubble under graduated greenslate
roof. 2-storey bank barn. Large central cart entrance reached by ramp with
open shippon to left, its roof supported by circular rubble piers, and enclosed
stone shippon to right. Slit vents under eaves and to rear. Various carved
early C19 initials and dates on shippon and cart doors. Listed partly for G.V.
with Birkettfield.
