House. Early C19. Brick with steeply pitched, hipped slate roof.
Rectangular plan. 2 storeys and attic. Flanking chimneys, brick
painted string at first floor level, flat eaves. 3 bays sash windows
with glazing bars and flat segmental heads, the windows on ground floor
taller; half glazed centre door in solid sided painted porch, rectangular
opening and cornice capping. String course, 2 wooden cross windows
with leaded lights; a clock in the gable and an arched bellcote above with
pedimented top, housing 3 bells. Between the string course and the clock
there is a stone panel with inscription and 1860 date. To the right of
this, is a single storey classroom with 3 bays of 2-light windows with
stone mullions and dressings and leaded lights. V.C.H. Vol.3. p.261.
