2/35A Ivy Cottage.

House. Early-mid C19, incorporating remains of medieval structure with
cruck truss. Brick, slate roofs, brick chimneys. L-plan.
2 storeys. Wing projecting to left has 4-pane sash to ground floor
of gable, and right side with 2 paired barred wooden casements to
first floor and a 3-light wooden casement with segmental head to ground
floor. Right wing has one bay of similar casements and C20 6-panel
door to left. C20 whitewashed brick extension to rear. Half timbered
and weatherboarded projection infront of left gable is part of
adjacent Plum Tree Cottage and is not included. Interior has cruck
truss above first floor level between rear bays of left wing, original
purlins to rear bay, and C17-C18 chamfered spine beam and chimney in
centre bay.
