Late C18, 4 storeys and basement, brick projecting string painted at 1st floor
level, modillioned cornice string (wood) over 1st floor windows, parapet and
stone coping. Each house has 2 windows flanking a central brick panel on the
2nd and 3rd floors, a wide segmental bay on the 1st floor with 3 curved sash
windows, narrow flanking pilasters, plain frieze, string cornice carried round,
and flush panelled aprons. 3 large compo roundels of lion masks and leaves
are arranged symmetrically on the 1st floor, one in the centre, the other 2
flanking the bows. There are 2 windows on the ground floor and doors grouped
in the centre with that of the adjoining house. 6- panelled door with semi-circular
fanlight with radiating, concentric and wreathed glazing, in arched brick opening.
There is one 4-light sash window in thebasement under a pavement grille.
Nos 4 to 7 (consec),The Church Rooms, Nos 12 and 13 and the cobble sets in
Church Street form a group.
