Gatehouse, and adjoining outbuildings, medieval and later, of coursed rubble with
steeply pitched Collyweston stone slate roof with coped gable ends. One small stone
ridge stack. The gatehouse at the west end has carriageway and smaller pedestrian-
way to side, each with double chamfered arches. Cusped headed lancet in east side
of carriageway. Buttress to side of carriageway has set-offs. To the east a
2-storey, 3-window range house with C20 mullioned windows and 4-centred arch doorway
with drip mould. Outbuildings further to the east beneath continuous roof have, to
the south, 3 stone-mullioned windows, 2 doorways and a carriageway beneath timber
lintels and 2 triangular dormers. To the north the outbuildings have 2 buttresses
and 2 dormers, one large and gabled, the other triangular. One room brick outhouse
to west of gateway, with doorway and semi-circular headed window with glazing bars.
