House with attached shop on south, on corner site. House late C17 - early
C18. Walls, lower part brick, upper part plastered; thatched roof; brick end
stacks. 2 storeys. Panelled door in recessed porch with raised plaster
surround. Ground floor has one 3-light double-hung sash window, one
double-hung sash window with glazing bars and one casement window. First
floor has 4 horizontally sliding sash windows with lead lights. Shop probably
early C19. Plastered walls, hipped slate roof, brick stack shared with house.
West elevation has part-glazed panelled door in simple classical surround with
flat pilasters and moulded hood. Adjoining this a C19 shop front with moulded
pilasters and cornice, window with glazing bars. First floor has 2 casement
windows with centre glazing bars. South elevation has similar shop front, and
one casement window with glazing bars on first floor. RCHM Monument 19.
