CORFE CASTLE EAST STREET (West side) SY 98 SE 3/86 No. 166 including boundary walls at front and side GV II Detached cottage. C18. Rubble stone walls, thatched roof, hipped at left end, brick stack at right end. One storey and attic. At right angles to road. C20 extension at left end, at lower level, in matching construction. This contains a glazed door and one casement. In main house, ground floor has 2 C20 casements. Attic has 2 dormers, one with casements with centre horizontal bar, one with C20 casement. Front and side boundary walls of rubble stone, with cock and hen coping. Included for group value in spite of window alterations. (RCHM, Monument 55. Dorset. Vol. II).
