- Church of All Saints

GV II

Anglican parish church. Samuel Henlett, architect. c.1820, but sanctuary
1907. Squared and coursed sandstone, crenellated parapet on corbel table
(but plain eaves north side), concrete tile roof coped gables. Single cell
plus 3-sided apse, south porch, small square west tower with crenellated
parapet on corbel table. Broad lancets in plain band surrounds, 2 to south,
3 north, and 3 to apse, set between twice weathered buttresses to nave; pair
plank doors in plain pointed opening to porch. Interior austere, six bays,
scissors truss roof; sanctuary raised 3 + 2 steps. Bench mark on SE buttress.
A very simple structure, included principally for group value in the central
space of the village.
