2. 1911-12. An important house by E S Prior. Coursed grey stone with red brick dressing and coved rendered cornice. Steeply pitched tiled roof. Very tall red brick chimneys. 2 storeys cellars and attics. Entrance, or northern facade irregular. Windows cambered headed casements with leaded glazing. Door with canopy above. Main or southern facade has 2 diamond shaped dormers and 6 windows including ground floor bay of 6 lights. All, except bay, set flush with walls. East and west loggias, the eastern of 2 storeys set under main roof and with brick columns, western loggia advanced and of 1 storey.
Interior Hall has wooden Tuscan columns, rough plastered walls and a staircase showing the influence of chinoiserie.
