AVETON GIFFORD VILLAGE CENTRE SX 64 NE 4/37 Railings, wall, and gate to front of Court Barton GV II Railings on dwarf wall, gates. C19. Wrought and cast iron, stone. Low rubble wall to weathered stone coping runs in curve from left hand end of Victorian gable, across whole frontage of the house to link with the lych gate to the church. On coping is set of hooped railings with 3 horizontal rails, and each hoop containing two low and one higher bar to small urn finials, with square standards to finials at intervals, and to single gate opening opposite porch entry; gate similar detail, with inverted hoops forming X-bracing in bottom half. Railings very complete and undamaged.
