C18, extended to rear in Cl9. Plastered facade. Front part with kneelers and
tiled roof, rear with vermiculated quoins and vermiculated band at 1st floor, eaves
cornice and slate roof. 2 storeys. Street facade of 3 bays width. 1st floor
has 2 sashes with late C19 glazing. Ground floor has 2 small windows and shop
window with twisted, cast iron columns in front of glazing. Western facade has
C19, battlemented, 2 storey, bay with transom, mullions and segmental arched lights.
Quatrefoil piercing above 1st floor windows. C19 part has 2 windows;. 3 light
sashes with late C19 glazing to 1st floor, modern glazing below. Windows with
similar twisted cast iron columns between lights.
No 25 form a group with Nos 30 to 34 (even) and Avonbank opposite and with
Waterloo Bridge. Avonbank is a building of local interest.
