Public house, formerly a coaching inn.
Circa early C19. Stone rubble with granite quoins and window arches. Slate hipped
roof with deep eaves. Two storeys. Six bays. Sash windows with glazing bars and
cambered arches, ground floor with C20 louvred shutters. First floor bay, second from
left, is blind and has octagonal panel with name of inn. Chimneystacks at either end
and to right of centre. Rear and end walls have C20 tile hanging, probably originally
slate hung.
Situated on the Old Plymouth to Exeter Road.
