5/7 West Okewill Farmhouse

Farmhouse, C17 or earlier and much renovated. Rendered shale with gable-ended
slate roof. 3-cell and cross passage plan with later kitchen wing on front at
right angle to lower end.
2 storeys. Upper storey has 5 windows, all C20 casements. Stack at gable end
heating inner room and large rendered lateral stack on front wall of 'hall' with
set-offs and pronounced batter. Lean-to slate roof over projecting bay with C20
casement to front of hall on right and over porch to left of stack. Staircase
turret projecting to left of door in angle of kitchen wing. Front wall at
higher end projects and possibly rebuilt. C20 door at higher end with 2
inserted casements to right. chamfered floor beams in former hall with moulded
stops.
