SX 68 NE GIDLEIGH

3/174 Highbury Bridge

Road bridge over Blackaton Brook. Probably mid C19. Granite stone rubble with
ashlar voussoirs and coping. Small single span bridge. The plain vault is a
segmental arch with ashlar voussoirs and slightly-projecting keystone springing from
vertical abuttments. There is no dripcourse or terminal piers. The parapet is flat
with rounded coping and curves outwards each end.
