SX 68 NE GIDLEIGH FORDER

3/190 Forder Bridge

Road bridge over Forder Brook. C19. Made from slabs of granite. Small 2-span
bridge. The abutments and central pier are made of roughly-shaped blocks of
granite. The pier has square corners. The spans are bridged by long rectangular
slabs of granite laid side by side. A low parapet is built up each side with long
large roughly-dressed blocks and now C20 iron railings have been set into the top of
these.
