Dwelling with offices below forming part of a long row. Late C16 or C17 with C19 and
C20 alterations. Cob, stone and brick mix, plastered, the ridge line of the gabled-
end slate roof considerably lower than its neighbours. 2 storeys.
Front: original line of front recessed in relation to adjacent properties, but with
ground-floor shop/office front (C20), with 2 large windows and central glazed door
brought forward. 2 window range, both windows with hornless sashes, 2 panes per
sash. Vehicular ccess to 'The Green' passes under right-hand upper room, and the
exposed wall of No.26 retains evidence of early screen, with chamfered bressumer, 7
chamfered muntins, 1 door jamb with run-out stop, and original base; later more
slender studs and brick infill. Rear completely refenestrated in C20. No ancient
internal features visible; roof space not inspected.
