Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C18, refenestrated in C20. Red brick in Flemish
bond. Old tiled roof with central brick stack and end brick stack to
L-wing. L-shaped building of 2 storeys: 4 windows to front, 2 windows
and 1 blocked window to side and 4 windows to rear. Stringcourse,
plinth and brick coping with knelers to rear gable. Windows to front
range and C20 casements in original openings and mainly in original
pegged architraves. Simple doorcases with C20 doors. Rear elevation
has blocked window openings, one with outline of cross casement. L
wing has C20 metal casements. Interior has an early C18 winder
staircase with curved tread ends and square newel post. Ground floor
room has a wide wooden bressumer of an open fireplace, wooden cupboard
with H-hinges and 2 panelled door. Flint cellar with brick lacing
courses and brick cambered recesses.
