Barn. Circa early C18, possibly re-using earlier timbers. Weatherboarded timber-frame on tall
Flemish bond red brick plinth and with thatched roof with half-hipped gable ends and
midstreys. PLAN: large 6-bay barn with an aisle and two midstreys on the west side.
EXTERIOR: Symmetrical west front with two half-nipped midstreys with plank double-doors.
Only one cart entrance at rear, the other blocked INTERIOR: Jowled wall and arcade-posts
with curved braces to tie-beams, queen-posts to high collars, two tiers of clasped purlins, the
lower are clasped by interrupted collars; principal and common rafters intact; ties from arcade
posts to wall-plate of aisle and short braces from arcade-posts to arcade-plate; walls have long
straight braces but no midrail.
