Court Barton Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Circa late C18. Granite and slate rubble walls. Gable ended scantle slate
roof.
Rectangular plan with central threshing floor and an integral granary at the left-
hand end on the first floor with a storeroom/animal house below. At the front of
the right-hand end of the barn is a horse engine house.
Single storey and 2 storeys at left-hand end. Asymmetrical front with central cart
entrance which has projecting cheeks. To its left is a door on the ground floor
with a window to the granary above. Stone steps lead to it at the left gable end.
The octagonal horse-engine house projects from the right-hand end with a wide
opening on its left-hand side.
Interior: Late C19 king-post roof structure.
