Cottage. Later C17 with C18 and C19 additions and C20 alterations. Plastered cob
and rubble walls. Hipped thatch roof. Axial brick stack on stone base. Plan:
Original part is at the centre - probably 2-room plan cottage with heated room to
the right. In C18 outbuilding added at left hand and 1-room addition made at right-
hand end which then had a C19 outshut added. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical
4-window front of irregular heights. All C20 2-light casements apart from former
outbuilding addition at left-hand end which has 3 fixed lights on first floor.
Large thatch doorhood to left of centre over C20 glazed door. C20 thatched roof
porch to right-hand addition with plank door behind. Garage door at front of right-
hand lean-to. Interior: Somewhat altered in C20 but retains chamfered wooden
lintel to fireplace. Probably C19 insubstantial straight principal rafters.
