Restormel Cottage

House. Circa.1800, with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble rendered front with
re-used granite doorway. Hipped slate roof with 2 stacks to rear.
2-room plan with central entrance, 2-storey service wing of one-room plan to rear
centrel; each front room heated by stack to rear. Gothic style.
2 storeys and 2 windows, ground floor has central 4-centred arched chamfered granite
doorway with 4-panelled door and fanlight, round-arched window left and right with Y-
tracery and 3-pane casements. First floor has two 2-light casements with toplights,
central small circular light. Parapet wall ramp down to right and left about one
metre. Right side has ground floor window as on front, first floor 2-light casement
with segmental head to toplight. Left side has buttress and single storey lean-to at
ground floor, similar first floor casement. Rear gabled 2-storey wing has brick
quoins, 2-light casement at ground and first floor with brick surrounds, C20 single
light at ground floor to left side and 2-light casement at ground floor to rear
right.
