Farmhouse. C17, remodelled in the C18 and C20. Granite ashlar front and gable ends,
rubble at rear. Circa late C19 grouted scantle slate roof with projection eaves at
the front, sweeping lower at the rear. Gable ends orginally had granite copings and
joinery except for roof structure not inspected.
Plan: Remodelled in 1987. Originally double depth with integral outshut at the rear
containing the 2 small service rooms. Slightly wider hall/kitchen on the left with
original C17 fireplace, remodelled in the C18 to insert a bread oven; parlour on the
right and entry between leading to stair between rear rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window front with doorway central to
fenestration. C20 door and windows in C18 openings.
Interior: C17 (or possibly later C16) hollow chamfered fireplace with left-hand
jamb rebuilt in the C18 when oven inserted. C20 carpentry.
