NORTH PETHERWIN CLUBWORTHY

House. Circa late C17 or early C18. Stone rubble and cob, the front slate hung with
rag slates. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends. Projecting stone rubble end stacks
with brick shafts.
Plan: 2-room and cross passage plan heated by end stacks; larger hall kitchen on
right and probably parlour on left. Partitions across rear of parlour accommodating
small unheated service room. In the C19 an outshut was added on the left hand end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Not quite symmetrical 3 window front with C19 casements.
Entrance to left of centre with probably C19 plank door, wide 2-light casement to
left and 3-light casement to right. Three 2-light casements on first floor. Circa
C19 lean-to sevice outshut on left hand gable end.
Interior: Not accessible. The waney curved ceiling beams are chamfered; the hall
kitchen fireplace on the right has been partly blocked but the timber lintel appears
chamfered and the smaller parlour fireplace also has a chamfered lintel.
