7/178 Trusell Farmhouse, garden walls,
- gate-piers, gates and railings
to front
GV II
Farmhouse walls, gate-piers, gates and railings to front. Probably mid C19 with
earlier origins. Stone rubble, painted on front elevation. Rag slate roof with
gable ends. Brick shafts to end stacks, with projecting end stack on right.
Plan: The farmhouse is probably a remodelling of an earlier house which was of two
room and cross or through passage plan heated by end stacks. In the C19 the house
was extended across the rear with service rooms forming an overall double depth plan.
Exterior: Two storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front with circa mid C19 16-pane
hornless sashes with crown glass. Painted brick dressings to window openings.
Central entrance with C19 partly glazed door.
Low rendered garden walls to front with circa late C19 railings. Tall, square,
rendered gate-piers with pyramidal caps and circa mid C19 cast iron gate.
Interior: Not inspected.
