Pair of houses in row. c1830 (RCHME). Rendered, slate (No.24)
or asbestos-cement slate (No.23) mansard roof.
2 storeys and attic, each 1 window. No.23 has a late C19
gabled 6-pane sash dormer above a canted oriel with a panelled
skirt and a 4-pane sash in flush box; to the left is a 4-panel
door with a Y-tracery fanlight. The gabled return is plain.
No.24 has a similar dormer above an 8:12:8-pane sash bow oriel
and a 16-pane sash in flush box; to the left is a 6-panel door
under a plain fanlight. A small plinth, and a 'cornice' with
paired brick dentils under a plain band, with blocking course
and parapet. There are central and right gable ridge stacks.
